Web pages for learners

Here are two pages I wrote from scratch as part of a pearson.com reimagine effort for our learners.

Problem

Write content for each of the tiles below the hero to match the new Grow with the world around you value proposition.

Team

Brand and content strategy

Solution

The content strategy for these tiles was to motivate user action. This design and the copy were well-received in testing. We were still gathering data on the live results.

pearson.com hero and tiles

Good to know

Marketing changed some of the copy in these tiles. For example, the Reinvent your education was changed to Shop our catalog.

Problem

Create content for a new page that provides a place for all student digital purchases.

Solution

Added a My learning page so students can access all titles in one location. We included an option to view order history in case there was any delay before a title appeared on the page.

My learning dynamic section

Good to know

Marketing wrote the copy in the individual tiles to describe each product. We used the MyLab description as placeholder copy for card sizing.

Problem

How to include products that the student might have purchased outside of pearson.com. We weren’t able to determine whether the student has purchased any of these products, yet we had to include them on this page.

Solution

I used Taking courses on these platforms? with some explanatory text to resolve this issue. I kept the call to actions more general (Go to <product_name>), which takes the student to either the marketing or sign-in page for the product.

Level up is meant to motivate the student to try out more products.
